Trade Mission to Ireland - Pre-Mission Networking Cocktail

An official trade mission to Ireland is planned for the 12th to 14th of June. This official mission will be headed by Prime Minister Xavier Bettel as well as Yuriko Backes, Minister of Finance, alongside a commercial delegation led by Carlo Thelen, CEO of the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce. It will also be joined by H.E. Ambassador Florence Ensch, the Ambassador of Luxembourg to Ireland:

A number of members of the ILCC Executive Committee will be participating in the mission.

On May 23rd at 17.00, the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a briefing to go over the program for the upcoming mission. The briefing will be a maximum of one hour and will answer any questions the participants in the mission may have.

Following the briefing, there will be a pre-mission networking cocktail organized by the Luxembourg Chambre of Commerce together with the ILCC. The event will be attended by H.E. Florence Ensch, Ambassador of Luxembourg to Ireland, and H.E. Stephen Dawson, Ambassador of Ireland to Luxembourg.

ILCC members are invited to attend the cocktail at 18.00 and may attend the 17.00 briefing if they so wish. This event represents an excellent opportunity to connect with Luxembourg companies and individuals who have an interest in or already have links with Ireland.

On May 23rd, The Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce held a briefing for all those who planned to participate in the June 12th-14th trade mission to Ireland. Following from the briefing, the ILCC, in conjunction with the Chamber held a networking cocktail. The cocktail was addressed by The Luxembourg Ambassador, Her Excellency, Ms. Florence Ensch, Carlo Thelen, Director General of the Chamber of Commerce and Joe Huggard, ILCC Chairman. The remarks focussed on the strong relationship between two small open economies with the challenges currently being experienced.

The event was well-attended and Carlo Thelen also took the opportunity to officially announce that the ILCC had achieved accreditation to the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce as a bilateral chamber. He congratulated Joe Huggard on the ILCC’s new status.
