ILCC to Attend British & Irish Film Season 2018

In association with the British and Irish Film Season 2018, the Ireland Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce is offering a limited number of freetickets to its members to view ‘Black 47’, showing at the Cinémathèque, Friday September 21st at 20.30. Lance Daly, Director, and associatesinvolved in the making of Black 47, will also be in attendance for Q&A after the film.

Synopsis: Set in Ireland during the Great Famine, it follows an Irish Ranger who has been fighting for the British Army abroad, as he abandons his post to reunite with his family. Despite experiencing the horrors of war, he is shocked by the famine’s destruction of his homeland and the brutalization of his peopleand his family.

Members of the Ireland Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce took advantage of the Chamber’s offer of free tickets to watch last night’s screening of Black 47 at the Cinémathèque The film, a gritty, revenge drama, set in famine times in Ireland, kept the audience transfixed to the very end. The film’s Director, Lance Daly, attended the end of the film for a lively Q&A with the audience. Also in attendance for Q&A was Jani Thilges, co-producer, Samsa Films.
